Does this app work on all Shopify Stores?

This app works only on Shopify Plus stores and is available only in India at this time. We are working on accommodating other regions. This is because the app leverages Multipass SSO that is a premium feature available only to Plus and Plus stores at this time.

Is this app for a specific country?

Yes this app is currently meant for India but we are looking to accommodate other countries soon.

What modifications does the app do when I install it on my store?

It doesn’t do any modifications to your store or data. The app is hosted outside the Shopify ecosystem and uses a SMS gateway to send messages. We only require you to enable the Multipass Key that is present in the Checkout -> Customer Accounts section.

What are the prerequisites for this app?

You need to have a paid Shopify Plus plan. (Need Multipass Key)

Your store should be registered in India as this app is currently meant for India.

You need to log in as the ACCOUNT OWNER, go to Settings -> Checkout -> Customer Accounts section of your storeThere you will see an option called Enable Multipass Login. Please check that and save the setting. A multipass key is generated by Shopify. Copy that key and add it to the configuration setting in the DASHBOARD section of the app. Without the multipass key, the app will not work as designed.

Am I at any risk of losing any data?

No way. We operate outside your Shopify store and just interact with the store to help create OTP codes and use them. We use standard MSG91 gateway for sending messages. MSG91 is a reputed player in SMS communication and boasts of robust communication technology.

How does the LOGIN WITH OTP Made Simple work?

Your customer has to register with a valid mobile number. If they are successfully registered and authenticated, then they will be able to login with a registered mobile number. For existing stores, we are coming up with a CSV mechanism to upload mobile numbers for existing users.

Which number is used for LOGIN WITH OTP authentication?

Your registered mobile number is used for Login with OTP authentication.

Can my customer change a number that is entered incorrectly?

Yes – your customer can update the mobile number through the Profile Update section in the My Accounts area of your store.

Do you have a system to resend an OTP in case of a system or network failure?

Yes. The RESEND OTP button will be enabled 1 minute from the time the previous OTP is sent. They can use the button to resend OTP to login.

What happens if my customer does not receive an OTP?

Customer is allowed to retry the OTP verification thrice by clicking on Resend OTP. There is a strong chance that your customers will get the OTP. In case they don’t, you could raise a ticket with us and we will troubleshoot the issue.

What is the timeout period for the OTP code?

One minute from the time the OTP is initiated.
